But lately, Harry Dresden hasn’t been able to dredge up any kind of work–magical or mundane.
But just when it looks like he can’t afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise.
A brutally mutilated corpse. Strange-looking paw prints. A full moon. Take three guesses–and the first two don’t count…

What I thought about the book:
I started reading this months ago and found it a bit boring (I didn’t get very far into it). But so many people love this series, I said I’d give it another go and I really enjoyed it!! I got the audio instead of reading it this time cause people were raving about James Masters (swoon) doing the narration. Masters is a perfect Harry, though I still picture him looking like the guy from the failed TV show (but that’s ok, he’s hot too).
Butcher writes action scenes so well. All too often situations that should be intense in books fall flat due to writing but Butcher has got it covered!
