2018 A-Z Reading Challenge

It’s time for another annual reading challenge (yay!!)

This one is being hosted by Ginger Mom & the Kindle Quest. Check out their post to join in. They will be hosting mini-challenges, readathons, Twitter parties and more throughout the year.

The goal is simple, read a book with a title that begins with each letter of the alphabet. The challenge runs from January to December 2018.

I pretty much never stick to TBR’s but since this one is so long and some of the letters may be difficult (there is an option for a free-letter to make it easier) I’m going to pick out some books I might read.

I will be updating this post during the year with the books I read.

  1. This is such a good idea! I’m going to have to try it. The Zelda Fitzgerald novel is SO good, it made me rethink the romanticized version of 1920s Paris that we’ve all come to know.

    1. I’m a total mood reader, I never stick to my plans. I just thought this one needed a few books picked out in case the letters are hard to find. I’ll probably only read 3 or 4 of these.

      1. I’m a wanderer, started on David Walliams and bought his books and read 6 books and lost interest and then picked up Asylum Trilogy and couldn’t put them down. I’m struggling through IT and my mind is wandering again haha

      2. Wow, that is commitment! Well done! I will probably give it a go at some point… it’s just such a big book I don’t want to invest the time and possibly be disappointed. Everyone says it’s great though…

  2. Cool challenge, and nice list! I was really excited to see the first volume of Saga make the cut. It’s such a fantastic series and it really pulls you in right from the start. 🙂 Good luck with the reading challenge!

  3. Nice list and a nice idea. My resolution for 2018 is to revisit some classics I read ages ago and to read some that escaped me so far. I’ll, do my A-Z list based on that. Dark Matter, Outlander Shadow Queen, The Gingerman and Perfume are all pretty awesome, kind of envy you reading them for the first time. Enjoy 🙂

  4. This challenge is a great idea! I struggle to find books that really fit my mood, so doing something like this would really force me to try new books instead of reverting to rereading my tried and true over and over again.
